It's a bit hard to understand the shading process due to the quality of the photo. Though I see you did straight lines on the shadow of the object. Don't do that, it gives a rough look and unpleasent to look at. When shading keep making circular moves with the pencil, it gives off a smoother look to it and it's easier to control the light and dark shading. Speaking of light, try to leave more paper untouched by the pencil as much as you can on the lighter side of the object, don't make it look all grey-ish. As for the shading on the ball [again, it's hard to tell if you did or did not make the mistakes I'm pointing out since it's so blurry], it seems you brushed your finger on it to give a better blur shading. In case you did, never do that again. Ever! The shading must be allways done with your pencil, never the finger tips because by blurring, you'll give off a messy look because some blur may even go off the borders you intended right? Its much more pleasent to look at done by pencil. Nice job nonetheless, and you keep on practicing! :)
